Minutes and Matters Arising

April 2011 Minutes – approved. Post online (Rachel)
Guest speaker – Kerry Rankin of Growing Communities
Kerry gave a fascinating talk on Growing Communities and its growth and development.

Election of officers

Chair: Diane Dyer
Secretary: Rachel Murrell
Treasurer: Christophe offered to take on role but Nick will carry on for the immediate future.
Street reps: Susanne Ballhausen offered to fill vacancy on road without rep (List not available at meeting).

VIVID fair

Details of workshops announced, 25th June, 2nd July, 9th July. June 24th used to prepare materials. Appeal for everyone to collect plastic bottles and aluminium trays. Take to SWAPA or leave in recycling box of 66 Allen Road. Pat has designed and printed posters ready for distribution.
Volunteers needed for workshops and to be stewards on the night.
AW will email Andrea Sinclaire the artist to get a list of materials needed.


Report from Nick Holder on finances. Appeal for donations made and some money collected.


  • Discussion about lack of people at meeting and whether pub would be better venue.
  • Proposal that all monthly meetings should be open to everyone so that newcomers get a better sense of what goes on at meetings and then more likely to stand for a position on the committee. To be discussed at next meeting.
  • The farmers’ market is moving to St Paul’s Church on 9th July for several months.

July 10th – Gardening day in Butterfield Green, 2-5pm
July 13th – Exec Meeting at SWAPA, 8pm
September 8th – next General meeting at 8pm, venue TBA

thank you so much for a fantastic night with the grease night i had so much fun with my family and would love to see another film on the green i would like to suggest the films dirty dancing and bugsy malone they would be good fun and a sing a long like the grease one. thanks again
