He charges a call-out fee of £55, then a fixed fee per quarter hour. If he needs to return with spare parts, he doesn't charge a second call-out fee. "The on/off switch on our 15 year old washing machine broke, but there was nothing else wrong with it. Ben diagnosed the fault and - to avoid ordering up a spare part - cleverly swapped the broken switch with a neighbouring one that we never use. Genius!" Jenn, July 2011.

Heating engineers
- Habib (07815 073155). "I had a boiler engineer around a couple of years ago to fix a valve on my boiler that had not worked properly for 14 years, I'd had the manufacturers around and numerous other engineers and nobody could fix it until Habib came around and had one look and found the water was pumping in the wrong direction. I really recommend him and he's local." Eric. November 2010.
- Habib (see above) did his best to offer phone advice on why my heating had stopped working. When that didn't help, I made an appointment with him: he was on time, professional, and charged a very fair price. He managed to patch up the boiler but warned it was on its last legs - fair enough, it's at least 22 years old. Alex, December 2011
